Physical Therapy Services
Did you know that, in Massachusetts, you do not need a doctor’s referral to see a physical therapist? Massachusetts is a “direct access” state; one of 20 states that allow patients total, unrestricted access to physical therapy services. That said, it’s pretty common that I treat patients referred to me by their orthopedic surgeons and general practitioners.
How do you know that you need physical therapy?
Physical therapy is beneficial to those who have symptoms like the following:
- You experience pain on a daily basis
- Daily pain restricts your activities

- You sit at a desk job all day long
